Harrison County Community Hospital (HCCH) is a critical access hospital located in rural Bethany, Missouri. For the people who work there, it's more than a job. It's a calling. And they're not just caring for patients. They're caring for their third-grade teacher, their son's little league coach, even their grocery store clerk.

But this sentiment is not shared. Often referred to as a "band-aid station", the people of Bethany would rather drive 90 miles to Kansas City for treatment. And an ever-stubborn community, when the hospital announced a bigger, better location, they claimed it wasn't needed.

It was clear that the people of Bethany had a fundamental misunderstanding of the quality health care that HCCH was providing. So, we gave them the facts. And played into their expected reactions.
